That last photo showing the ex-Philadelphia Autocar would make for a "difficult" restoration. An interesting collection of apparatus - wish it was indoors.....

ex 1960 International Howe Mocanaqua fire sitting in a driveway in Pond Hill Hi everone, I just happened to run across this board and seen the post of the Mocanaqua engine. To give you some info on the truck it is a 1956 and it still starts and runs. The family owns the truck, and due to health problems we have not been able to start the restoration of the truck. The photo shows the truck at our uncles house. The plan is the bring it back to Michigan to do a frame up restoration. Our grandfather was born and raised in Mocanaqua. So this engine has a special meaning to us. My dad remembers playing on this truck as a kid. We have collected a number of item to restore the truck. When we purchased the truck it had all the flashers and lights on it. We removed them to protect them from the elements and thieves. The truck will be restored to as delivered to the department in 1956. We have a photo of the truck when it was delivered to the department. We have commissioned a artist to do a drawing of the truck in front of the west end coal breaker in Mocanaqua. That we will be selling to generate extra funds to restore the truck. If you have any questions just ask. I can be reached at erik@sprbackshops.com Erik
