Need to help a brother firefighter and his family....
The home involved this morning was that of Lt. Chris Krout of the Wright Township FD. The home was a total loss as well as several vehicles that were just outside the structure. Fortunately the family was not home as they were away for the holiday. We need to help a brother firefighter and his family in their time of need. We ask that everyone helps by giving whatever they can in the way of clothing to help the family out. Listed below are the sizes needed. Lets try to help our friend and his family in. You could get in touch with any member from WTFD to drop anything off.. Thanks folks.

Wife Pants size 10 Large shirt 8.5 shoes

UPDATE 12/01/09
All – Please feel free to distribute to all your contacts – personal, business and otherwise.
As you may have or may not have heard by now, early Friday morning, fire devastated the home of our friend and family member Chris Krout, WTVFD Member and Line Officer.
Chris and his family were on their way to a short vacation in North Carolina to help his wife’s sister do some home repairs. His vacation was cut very short as soon as he received the news. When he and his family returned home, there was nothing remaining. The fire had consumed the entire house and most of the garage before the fire department was notified and there was nothing that could have been done. We are all very thankful that Chris, his wife, his son and daughter and all of their pets were not in the home.
Chris has expressed his deepest and warmest thank you to all who have donated to date. The overwhelming support is incredible to both him and our department. All clothes and items that are not able to be used are going to be donated to charity unless otherwise specified by the donors. Several boxes of clothes have already been taken to the Volunteers of America and nothing will go to waste.

The following may be a repeat for some of you – trying not to miss anyone. Updates are in Yellow and BOLDED. Please scroll down to see bottom of original email. All updates from here on out will be the same Yellow and BOLDED and some of the original information will be dropped for repeat reasons. Please bare with us through this, we always try to keep everyone in the loop with that is happening. If we miss anyone, please email me back and I will add them to the distribution list. Again, thank all of you for your patience and overwhelming support.
Clean up will be starting this Saturday DECEMBER 5th – 8:30-8:45 AM at the Wright Twp Fire Department to co-ordinate efforts.
With a good turnout, despite the 1700 feet of driveway, we should be able to get this done in a few hours.
We will provide coffee in the morning and lunch around noon.
Anyone who has proper PPE (Helmet, Chaps, Gloves, Glasses or shield and boots) and has experience running a chain saw, please bring them with you.
We will be widening out his driveway and possibly some other small things as well.
All – Please feel free to distribute to all your contacts – personal, business and otherwise.
