The Schuylkill Historical Fire Society cordially invites everyone to our Annual Volunteer Firefighter's Open House and Antique Muster on Sunday, October 3, from 11Am to 3 PM. The event will be held at the Schuylkill Training Academy at Morea and Fireman's Roads, Frackville. This location is less than one mile from Exit 124 ( Frackville) at I-81 and Route 61. The event will be held rain or shine and as always, admission and registration are free!
Registration for the parade will begin at 9:30 at the Schuylkill Mall. The parade to the training grounds will begin at 11:00 AM. The parade route is Route 61 North (Lehigh Street) into Frackville. Then a right onto Oak Street (Turkey Hill Mini Mart) to the Morea Road and finally the training academy.
At 2 pm, a Memorial Service is planned at the Fallen Firefighter's Monument to honor our deceased brethren.
Other scheduled activities include static apparatus displays, pumping demonstrations and competitions, a display of modern fire equipment, and a fire memorabilia flea market.
