The Dauntless Fire Co. of Ebensburg had a really interesting city service ladder that was built on a 1965 GMC chassis. I was wondering if anyone could tell me who manufactured the apparatus body on the rig? It's custom built, could be Hahn, who knows - I don't! Here's a link to their photo archive: www.dauntlessfire.org/photo_gallery/retired.cfmSteve

Actually Bruco was my first choice, but they normally mount a very visible name plate along the lower portion of the body just behind the cab. The body doesn't look like Howe to me because of the way the diamond plate is mounted along the top of the cabinets.
The web site says that this was sold to a private owner. Sure would like to see this rig turn up at a muster when I'm around!

In the "If only Steve could read" category - my thanks to Warren Jenkins for pointing out that there is a HISTORY section on the Dauntless web site! That section makes the answer to my question pretty easy as it is stated that Bruco (Brumbaugh Body Co) built the ladder truck. Here's the link to the department history area: www.dauntlessfire.org/about/history.cfmO.K. I've stirred up enough excitement on this page for the day! ;D Steve
