Tom, that Buffalo/ Larabee engine posted above is originally from Mahanoy City. The Washington Hook and Ladder Co. used to run with their own engine for a time. Joe Recla from Oneida bought it from the borough and I believe he later sold it to the collector from Virginia. The current owner plans to stop in Mahanoy City on his way to Syracuse for the SPAAMFAA convention this August for members of the Hookies to see their old engine. We hope to have some pictures taken of it at the the society's museum before it completes it's trip to Syracuse.
