The 1916 White/Ahrens-Fox steamer #205 of Lansford is the last steamer listed in Ahrens-Fox records, and in 45 years of research I've never found reference to a higher number than 205, so I think it's pretty safe to say it was the last. The owner is Norm Shanklin in Wilton, NH, who has several other fire engines, steam-powered cars and trucks, theatre organs--a real collector.

Forwarding this for Ahrens-Fox owners & buffs:
From: Steve Heaver <sgheaver@firemuseummd.org> To: Steve Heaver <sgheaver@firemuseummd.org> Cc: Rob Williams <rcwilliams@firemuseummd.org> Sent: Tue, February 8, 2011 1:39:50 PM Subject: Ahrens-Fox Show
Dear Ahrens-Fox Owners & Aficionados,
Please join us to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ahrens-Fox commencement of motor vehicle production. The Fire Museum of Maryland is hosting a two-and-a-half day event starting on Friday the 21st of May. There will be an open house, educational exhibits (that you bring), snacks, and early arrivals of vehicles (actually some will already be here). Buy a ticket in advance for supper that night at the Museum. The details are given on the Schedule attachment.
Saturday will be the show day and there will be a parade at noon. That night Ed Hass, Jim Murray and others will make presentations on A-F at the Crowne Plaza. A fire apparatus flea market will be set up on Sat. as well.
If there is heavy rain on Saturday, we will try to have the show on Sunday. Otherwise, Sunday will be a day of getting the rigs started, loaded, and going home.
Please send the registration form back to us so we can anticipate who is coming. If you register prior to the 1st of April, you'll receive a free tee shirt courtesy of Excel Sportswear. We'd like everyone who is coming to register. Apparatus registration is free and of course, we hope that those of you who live close enough will bring your rigs. There is a diesel fuel fund already set up and owners may apply help defray over-the-road fuel costs.
So far we have two steamers (Ahrens and AF) tentatively coming and a good cross-section of models, but we need more. An official aerial photo will be taken and copies are offered on the registration form. The photographer will offer a CD of the best of his images of the weekend and you may order those from him later.
I ask that you pass this word along and if you send me other email addresses I will send a packet to each. Bob Brown, John Zangerle and I are standing by to answer your questions and we promise a good show commensurate with the quality associated with the Rolls-Royce of American fire engine builders (as Charles Fox might say).
Steve

Anyone know where Lansford's 1924 Ahrens-Fox is now? George Neder of Otisville, NY, who bought ot from Lansford in 1970, sold it many years ago and I've lost track of it.

A few years ago when I was Treasurer for Lansford, before I moved. I found an envelope that was dropped off at the station which contained recent pictures of the 24 fox. I want to say that it is now in Ohio. It looks like it is being taken care of.
