Lansford Fire House. It is still being used today eventhough there were some additions made.

lansford has the best looking fire house from the inside out that i ever saw. i always admired the way the windows were constructed. in todays world it has the vintage look but in its time was state of the art in building designs for what it was used for.

During the volunteer and early paid era this station was the home to the Deluge Fire Co. No. 10. Their quarters were located on the southeast side of Downtown Cincinnati. The apparatus bay faced onto Third Street while the side of the building ran along Lawrence Street. This firehouse was closed in the teens during the motorization of the department. The station was located between the 4's and 6's houses and once those 2 companies each had a new Ahrens-Fox in the bay the 10's house was no longer needed. This beautiful building was demolished when construction of the Lytle Tunnels for I-71 began in the late 1960's. Notice in this photo from the 1940's that there is a fire alarm box on the corner!
